So, I felt like I needed to review canon. However, I abhor my canon. As such, I want to do this once and never have to do it again, so you get my mildly amusing, episode by episode summaries of Blood+ ~*~WITH PICTURES~*~.

One of my favorite fanart sites, Chiaroscuro, recently went offline, which is such a shame. The artist of this website not only made beautiful fanart, but told stories that didn't need language to tell a very interesting tale. 1. Who are the NPCs / supporting cast members in your character's life? (if you don't have any, feel free to invent some now!)
Diva has a surprising number of important NPCs, though I haven't actually created any. The most important people to her are the Chevalier that were alive during the series (Amshel, Solomon, Karl, Nathan, and James), but in ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) realityshifted-verse, they've all died. Well, Nathan technically hasn't, but that's a secret. There are a few somewhat important NPCs now, though.
She has her servants, Daniel Brayden, Russel Irving, and Maria Alvez. Daniel is her “all purpose”-man, and he actually lives at Villa Madrona. Most of the time he lives in the Guest House, but when Diva is using it, he sleeps in one of the bedrooms in the main house. Russel and Maria all commute to her home in the morning and take care of various tasks around the house from cooking to cleaning. She’s friendly with all three of them, but not really close. They, however, think she’s an odd and eccentric heiress. Russel and Maria both have families, but Daniel’s wife passed away, and his children are all adults.
There’s also Allen Jones, who is her agent. He’s young, and new at the business, but Diva chose him because he was good-looking and sounded like he knew what he was talking about, to her. He is very intelligent and good in theory, but his inexperience makes him alright in practice. Still, Diva makes him a lot of money. He likes to recommend for her to go to parties, since it’s a good way to get her aquatinted with the famous figures. Allen is married, but doesn’t have any children yet.
2. How much detail do you put into them?
Actually, not much. In the Chevaliers’ case, the detail is already there, but otherwise, expanding on the NPCs comes as a part of a prompt or something like that rather than me sitting down and deciding to write about them.
3. Do you choose PBs for your NPCs?
Nope. I don’t play them, so I don’t need to.
4. Do they ever have their own stories / speaking roles?
This is a yes! Her servants haven’t really spoken, since they’ve never had the opportunity, but her Chevalier especially have their own lives, ambitions, and voices.
5. What roles do the NPCs play in storylines involving your character?
Her servants serve as background characters, but the Chevalier are a driving force for Diva’s motivations.
6. Has an NPC or supporting cast member ever stolen the show and become one of your main characters?
YOU KNOW. Earlier this week I would have said no, but in the prompt I linked below, I found myself become more interested than I was in Amshel’s character. Thinking about it, the progression of his psyche is really interesting, because Adagio shows us that Amshel was fiercely protective of Diva, but by the time of the series, Amshel is cold and dismissive of what he still calls his precious treasure. The Chevalier in general are interesting because they have the balance of human and superhuman that Diva doesn’t have. They were born human and made a choice to become something else. Well, except for Karl.
7. Have you ever killed off an NPC to support a plot or storyline? How did it work out?
Several times. All the Chevalier ended up dying, and this was mostly to propel Diva “past” them, because if I hadn’t advanced the plot, she would have been stuck in a kind of psychological limbo, and eventually been killed or violently pulled back to her Chevalier. As important as Sam is, Amshel will always hold more influence over her.

Today's Sunday prompt requires a bit of explaining - this is a Choose Your Own Adventure type activity. Here's how we're going to do it.
1. Post the beginnings of a story, leaving off at an important/fun/silly decision making point. (for example, the character opens up the door, and finds.....)
2. Give multiple choices for what might lie beyond (in our example, it could be - A Package, A Strip-o-Gram, An Angry Neighbor)
3. Someone comments on your story and chooses one of the options.
4. You write another story snippet, once again leaving off at a decision point with multiple choices...
5. Someone comments and chooses an option, you write from that point, etc.
6. Repeat until a) one of the choices winds up in an ending of sorts (a disaster? a happy ending? just the end of the tale), or b) you get tired of continuing the story.

I do a lot of character development essays. In part, it's because I think they're fun (and they are, shut up), and also because character development is hard sometimes, just because it's a culmination of many things, and makes a character much more human, really. So it's hard to organize those thoughts at times, just because they present themselves at so many different times. Like this? I thought of this while I was driving to school, no joke.

When I roleplay, I tend to get ideas for my characters out of the blue regarding the situation! Diva is no exception, and is rather...the biggest character to do this. I will be playing and BAM IDEA. So this is my note taking post for whatever related shit I want. And it is stickied so I remember to actually use it.

-1 on my RP To-Do List! Anyways, Diva is a social butterfly and has merged partially with a few people as well as getting more unstable. So this is an update of the weird clusterfuck that is her home now.
Normal
Diva has moved twice in the course of the game. She started out in downtown New York City, moved to suburban New York, but after becoming post-canon, moved to Canada in a fancy mansion. I was going to pick France since Diva ♥ France, but this house was too...uh, Diva to pass up. So, there are portions of New York City in her reality. Even though this place is supposed to be quiet and secluded, there is a lot of traffic, and the "downtown" area is full of nightclubs, neon signs, and general NYC things. However, while there are skyscrapers in some places, there are randomly patches of small houses, or even forest.
Merges
Sam; Parts of Manchester are in Diva's reality. There's a random canal in the middle of the city that no one seems to mind, and Sam's apartments are something she can go to (and wants to, often). There's also some Brits wandering around, but that's not so strange to Diva.
Hei; A little bit of Tokyo comes from Hei. There are some signs in Japanese and a few landmarks (like the Tokyo Tower, I want to say). She also has Shibuya, which she enjoys quite a bit.
Ikki; She's got flying shotas. Seriously. There are people with Air Trecks around Diva's reality now, and more Japanese...stuff.
What can crazy do for you?
Now, Diva was never very sane to begin with, but she was very stable. Her Chevalier are important to her mental health because they act as her anchor!
Too bad they're dead now.
So Diva's reality is starting to show the signs of wear and tear on her mind. Since Diva has traveled all over the world, I'm representing this as some of the places and people from her past appearing in her reality. She lives next door to the Russian Palace, and she can watch the Grand Duchess Anastasia playing with Alexei from her porch. On the other side of town, it's always snowing, even though it's spring for Diva now. It's the concentration camp that she spent several months with Josef in! She avoids going there entirely, since she's afraid that she'll see him there too. Some of the trees in her reality are a lot more tropical, and a few of the houses on the edge of town are no more than shacks made of bamboo and thatch. Right in the middle of Time's Square is also a tall, ruined tower with vines and roses creeping along it. No one else seems to notice it.
Well fuck, sucks for her (AKA a summary)
Diva's reality is made up of Manchester, Tokyo, Canada, and New York City, all rolled into one with various landmarks from Russia, France, Vietnam, and Germany that are of significance to her.

Diva is a completely canon whore, after all. It's stated that Amshel, her other Chevalier, “humans”, and “others” (I...can only assume that Amshel meant the monstrous Chiroptera which is like OH MY JESUS) have had sex with Diva for the purpose of getting her pregnant. Diva also raped Riku, and in the series, got pregnant. In realityshifted, I'm handwaving the pregnancy with the joy of deviances! Anyways, for Diva, sex(aulity) is an important part of who she is. Which...sounds terribly strange, but it'll make sense by the end, I promise!
